I am not sure why QTP is behaving like this ! But here is the Fix for it:
1. Open / Start QTP
2. Right click on the Menu toolbar (File Edit View Insert ….)
3. Select “Customize”
4. Click on the “Toolbars” tab
5. then Click on “Restore All” button at the lower right hand side.
Data Driven testing using selenium !
This post will also be in the new blog dedicated to Selenium <- coming soon
You will have to record your script using Selenium IDE in firefox browser
Then export the script in any of the programming languages in which you are comfortable….(Hope you know how to export since you are using that tool now, that’s why you are reading this post

End of life for QTP 8.2?
The Question asked:
Does anyone know when the end of life is for QTP 8.2 and what type of support is currently available?
I am paying maintenance on QTP 8.2, does this also allow me to upgrade to version 10 at no charge?
Lastly, is QTP 10 and Functional Test the same product or are they two separate products? I know that Funtional Test 9.5 is QTP with the Add Ins bundled in. I am wondering if this holds true for version 10.
The Answer >> :

>>QTP 8.2 is already at the end of life (or DEAD), No vendor is offering QTP 8.2 anymore or its support, HP and HP Forums might help you out for basic issues, but everything is now changed to HP Functional tester (QTP 9.5).

>>If you are using HP Functional testing, you can upgrade to the latest version.

>>In mercury days, these were sold as separate products like QTP, Winrunner & all add-ins separately…..
Later on QTP+WR+All add-ins were bundled and called as Functional testing.
